Queen Creek Parks and Recreation Special Events, the Queen Creek Branch Library and the Friends of the Library will present “Queen Creek Hometown Christmas” on Friday, Dec. 5, 5-9 p.m. at the Queen Creek Branch Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Loop Road. The event will feature visits with Santa, craft activities, food and craft vendors, entertainment by local children’s dance and choral groups. Slade, Queen Creek’s own country group presented by the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center will also perform! Queen Creek’s Hometown Christmas is sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Don’t miss it! Have you ever seen a desert snake or Gila Monster? Well, here is your chance for an up close encounter of the reptilian kind. Enjoy the beauty of these wonderful and misunderstood animals while learning about fascinating facts and the important roles each creature plays in the desert ecosystem. Afraid of snakes? Don’t worry. Our experienced animal expert will help you get over your fears with a safe and controlled animal display exhibit at the San Tan visitor center. Bring your friends and family, as the evening promises to be full of excitement and entertainment.

Thank you to all who braved the heat to come out and support the Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek and celebrate America's Independence.
We know there were some challenges with dust and traffic, Kiwanis is working hard to solve both those problems for 2008. The money raised on the 4th goes directly back to Queen Creek charities that support children.
